A Cèilidh (pronounced "kay-lee") is a traditional Scottish and Irish social gathering featuring music, dancing, and storytelling. Cèilidh have been a cornerstone of community life for centuries, where people come together to celebrate culture and heritage. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or have never set foot on a dance floor, the Tally Highland Games Cèilidh is designed for everyone—so come on out and experience the magic of this lively tradition!

  • 10:00 AM: Check-in begins
  • 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Caber Toss and Highland Games training with Francis Brebner

    • 4:00 PM: Cèilidh begins
    • 4:30 PM: Tallahassee Irish Step Dancers performance
    • 5:15 PM: Sycamore Assembly Line Dancers
    • 6:00 PM: Live bagpipes by Tallahassee Pipes and Drums
    • 7:00 PM: Historical session with Francis Brebner
    • 8:00 PM: Open dancing and cèilidh fun!
    • 10:00 PM: Cèilidh ends..... or does it???

Start the day strong with a FREE Highland Athletics Training Clinic! Learn the art of caber tossing and other traditional Highland Games events from 25x World Caber Champion Francis Brebner. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just curious about the sport, this is a great opportunity to experience authentic Highland Games action up close!

After a day of athletic excitement, join us at Ology Brewing Powermill for the main event!

  • Live Music & Dancing: Enjoy performances by local favorites like the Tallahassee Irish Step Dancers and Sycamore Assembly Line Dancers.
  • Scottish Pipes & Drums: Feel the energy as the Tallahassee Pipes and Drums fill the air with the powerful sounds of bagpipes.
  • Historical Sessions with Francis Brebner: Learn more about Scottish history and the importance of Highland Games from one of the sport’s biggest names!
  • Food Trucks & Beverages: Enjoy delicious offerings from local food trucks and cold brews from Ology, all served up by men in kilts! 🍻
